Acceptable Use and Content Standards

1. Content you must not publish

• Anything unlawful, including child sexual abuse material, terrorist content or incitement to violence.
• Content you do not own or have permission to publish.
• Hate speech or harassment targeting people by race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, disability, gender identity or other protected characteristic.
• Content that reveals someone's private information without consent, or non-consensual intimate imagery.
• Malware, deceptive links, or misleading claims that could cause real-world harm.

2. Mature (18+) content

• Publications containing nudity, sexual content, graphic violence or other adult themes must be flagged as mature in publication settings.
• Mature publications are hidden from signed-out visitors and from account holders under 18, enforced on the server using the date of birth on the account.
• Sexual content involving minors, or content presented so as to appear to involve minors, is prohibited absolutely and is reported to the authorities.
• Failing to flag mature content is a breach of these standards and may result in immediate removal and loss of selling privileges.

3. Platform conduct

• Do not scrape, bulk-download or redistribute magazines, or attempt to defeat the paywall, signed URLs or preview limits.
• Do not probe, load-test or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform or other accounts.
• Do not upload content designed to inflate view counts or manipulate analytics.

4. Enforcement

We may remove content, restrict a publication, withdraw selling privileges or terminate an account for breaches of this policy. Serious breaches take effect immediately; otherwise we aim to give notice and an opportunity to fix the problem.

Where content has already been purchased, we archive rather than erase it so existing buyers keep their access, unless the content is unlawful. Report problems to abuse@joyofmags.com.

5. Appeals

If you believe a decision was wrong, reply to the enforcement notice or write to abuse@joyofmags.com within 30 days. Appeals are reviewed by someone who was not involved in the original decision, normally within 14 days.
