Frequently asked questions
Can I change plans later?
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade at any time from your profile settings.
Is there a platform fee on sales?
No. When you sell an issue or subscription, you keep the revenue minus Stripe's standard payment processing fees.
What happens if I hit a limit?
You'll see a clear message in the studio and can upgrade to unlock more capacity.
Do I need a paid plan to publish?
No. The Free plan lets you publish up to the free limits. Paid plans add selling, scheduling, and higher limits.
What kind of content can I publish?
Joy of Mags is built for multi-page PDF publications including independent magazines, literary journals, zines, comics, art and photography books, lookbooks, and newsletters. We welcome mature literary themes, graphic violence, and non-pornographic artistic nudity when flagged with our 18+ Mature setting. Pornography, sexually explicit material, hate speech, and copyright-infringing content are strictly prohibited.
