Statistics explained

The numbers

• Views: every time an issue is opened.
• Unique readers: distinct reading sessions, so repeat visits are not double counted.
• Completed reads: sessions that reached the end of the issue.
• Read depth: how far through an issue readers typically get.
• Page drop-off: where readers stop turning pages.
• Returning readers, devices and countries: who is reading and on what.

Where to look

Statistics in the Studio has three levels: an overview of everything you publish, a page per title with graphs for each issue, and a page per issue for the detail. Every issue card on a title dashboard also shows its own view count.

The depth of reporting depends on your plan — view counts on Free, views plus completed reads on Indie, the full dashboard on Studio, and data export on Publisher.

Why older issues can show few views

View tracking started later than reading progress, so issues read before then can show reading depth without matching view counts. A note on the statistics pages flags this where it applies.
