Reading and your library
Searching inside the magazines
Find words printed on the pages, not just titles and tags — and jump straight to the page.
Searching across the catalogue
Type three or more letters into the search box on the Browse page. Alongside the usual matches on titles, tags and publishers, you will see a “Found inside the magazines” group listing the actual pages that contain your words, with a short extract and your words highlighted.
- Click a result to open that issue at that exact page.
- You only ever see results from issues you are allowed to read: free issues, issues you have bought or subscribe to, and titles you are a member of.
- For a paid issue you have not bought, only its free preview pages can match.
Searching inside one issue
While you are reading, use the search box above the reader to look through the issue in front of you. Matching pages are listed with a short extract; click one to turn straight to it. In a free preview, only the preview pages are searched.
Common questions
- Why can't I find words I know are in an issue?
- Some magazines are made from scanned images rather than text, so there are no words to search. Very recently uploaded issues may also take a few minutes before their pages can be searched.
