Using the reader
Page flipping, spreads, zoom, fit modes, thumbnails and keyboard shortcuts.
Moving through an issue
- Click or drag the outer edge of a page to turn it, or use the arrows in the toolbar.
- Open the thumbnail drawer to jump straight to any page.
- The page number appears in the address bar, so you can share or bookmark an exact page.
Spreads, zoom and fit
On wider screens pages are shown as two-page spreads, exactly as printed. Narrow screens fall back to single pages. Zoom in for detail and drag to pan around, or use the fit control to switch between fitting the whole page and filling the width.
Keyboard shortcuts
- Left and right arrows: previous and next page.
- Plus and minus: zoom in and out.
- 0: reset zoom, F: toggle fit mode.
- Escape: leave full screen or close the thumbnail drawer.
If pages look blank or slow
Large PDFs load page by page, so the first spread appears before the rest is ready. If a page stays blank, refresh once — the reader will resume where you left off. Very large files are quickest over Wi-Fi.
Common questions
- Can I read offline?
- Not yet. Issues are streamed page by page from the platform, which keeps creators' files protected. Offline reading is on the roadmap.
- Can I download the PDF?
- Only if the creator has allowed it. Paid issues are read in the browser rather than downloaded.
