What Free, Indie, Studio and Publisher include, and how to change plan.
Choosing a plan
Every creator starts on the Free plan. Paid plans raise the limits on issues, page counts, file size and storage, and unlock selling and reporting features. The full comparison is on the Pricing page.
- Each plan includes a number of issues a year, counted across all of your titles: 4 on Free, 12 on Indie, 48 on Studio and 120 on Publisher. Your allowance resets on the anniversary of your plan.
- Page count, file size and storage allowances also rise with each plan.
- Configurable preview pages, scheduling and deeper statistics come with the paid plans.
- Selling single issues starts on Indie; subscriptions start on Studio.
- Branded title pages start on Studio; members-only titles start on Indie.
- Team seats rise with the plan: one on Free and Indie, three on Studio, ten on Publisher.
- Plans are billed monthly or annually through Stripe and can be cancelled at any time.
Changing plan
- Open Profile settings in the Studio and go to the plan section.
- Pick the plan and billing period you want.
- Complete the secure Stripe checkout; the new limits apply immediately.
If a plan lapses or is cancelled, the account returns to the Free plan at the end of the paid period. Nothing is deleted — anything over the Free limits simply becomes read-only until you upgrade again or reduce it.
Common questions
- What happens to issues over the limit after a downgrade?
- They stay online and readable, and readers keep their access. You will not be able to add new issues until you are back within the limit.
- Does adding another title give me more issues?
- No. The issue allowance belongs to your account, not to each title, so it is the same however many titles you publish. Deleting or archiving an issue does not give the allowance back; it resets on your plan anniversary.
